Palestinian youth activists have called on their compatriots in Nablus to close ranks to protect villages and towns in the south of the province against settler attacks.
They called on citizens in Nablus and its nearby areas to necessarily cooperate with each other to form guard committees to protect the villages and towns in the south of the province against settler violations and terrorism.
“Our steadfast fellow citizens in the villages and towns of southern Nablus the “Guardians of the Mountain” call upon you to start immediately to respond to settlers’ aggression and plans” they said in a statement circulated on social media on Monday.
Recently extremist settler gangs have escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and property in southern Nablus.
Last night a group of settlers went on the rampage through southern Nablus attacking homes and burning some cars in the villages of Burin and Urif.
Settlers also threw rocks at Palestinian vehicles traveling on a road near Huwara town in southern Nablus.
