Friday 10-November-2017

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank at daybreak Friday.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed Jenin’s southern town of Yabad and ransacked civilian homes before they came down heavily on the inhabitants.

The list of detainees included Palestinian young men Mohamed Hamarsha and Khaled Abu Bakr.

Speaking with the Palestinian Information Center a number of Yabad locals said the Israeli forces have intensified crackdowns on the Palestinians near the Israeli military watchtower and Dotan settlement built on Palestinian lands in the area triggering simmering tension.

At the same time Israeli army troops rolled into Ramallah’s northwestern town of Birzeit in the central occupied West Bank and raked through residential neighborhoods.

The occupation soldiers also fired spates of rubber-coated bullets and teargas canisters in clashes with Palestinian anti-occupation youths in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil province in the southern West Bank.

Activist Mohamed Awad said confrontations broke out in al-Dhahr neighborhood near Israel’s illegal settlement of Karmi Tsur.

An Israeli patrol also cordoned off Kizon area in al-Khalil to secure a projected break-in by Israeli settlers into Haram al-Rama historical area.
