Dozens of Palestinians on Sunday evening took to the streets in Occupied Jerusalem to take part in the funeral of Eyad al-Hallaq 32 a young man with special needs who was shot dead by the Israeli police on Saturday.
The funeral procession set off from al-Makassed Hospital to al-Hallaq’s family home and then the funeral prayer was held at al-Asbat Gate near al-Aqsa Mosque amid tight Israeli restrictions.
Al-Hallaq’s body was withheld by the Israel police for one day before it was handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and later to his family.
Al-Hallaq a young man with autism was shot dead by Israeli police officers on Saturday morning while on his way to his special education school in the Old City of Jerusalem.
