Palestinian masses marched on Thursday in the funeral procession of a Palestinian child killed by Israeli bullet fire in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
The funeral of Momen Abu Eyada aged 15 kicked off from Tiba Mosque in Rafah city. His body was transferred to the local cemetery for burial.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said Abu Eyada was fatally shot by the Israeli army in his head on Wednesday evening as he joined the Great March of Return protests staged near the eastern borders of Rafah city.
Angry mourners yelled slogans condemning Israel’s horrendous crimes against the Palestinians and pushing for an urgent response by the Palestinian resistance.
At least 189 Palestinians among them 29 minors have been killed and 20000 others injured in Israeli aggressions on the Great March of Return protests staged near Gaza’s border fence since March 30.
