Palestinians in Europe call for unity to confront deal of century

The closing statement of the 17th Palestinians in Europe Conference has called for necessarily allowing the Palestinians living abroad to participate in the political decision-making and developing their national work.

The statement said that that only way resolve inter-Palestinian differences between the rivals is to engage in comprehensive national dialog stressing the importance of the national unity to confront the deal of the century.

The conference called on the Palestinian leadership to stop providing the Israeli occupation with the opportunity and cover to persist in its aggressive practices against the Palestinian people through ending all overt and covert talks and cooperation with the Israeli occupation.

The statement highlighted the importance of reforming and reactivating the institutions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and allowing all Palestinians from all spectra to join them.

The statement urged the European countries and their organizations to honor their principled commitments to justice human rights and international law end all forms of support and cooperation with Israel and hold it accountable for its grave violations against the Palestinian people.

The statement also denounced some Arab states for normalizing relations with the Israeli occupation state before reaching a final solution that gives the Palestinian people their rights.

It called on those Arab parties to refrain from doing such steps and respect the positions of the Arab peoples who reject all forms of normalization with the occupation.
