Palestinians in Europe concerned about upshots of Africa-Israel Summit

Monday 4-September-2017

The Palestinians in Europe Conference (PEC) expressed deep concern about the fallouts of the Africa-Israel summit slated to kick off by the end of September in Togo.

PEC said in a statement that it has been keeping tabs with deep concern on underway preparations for the Africa-Israel Summit the first of its kind in the history of the pro-Palestine Dark Continent.

The statement sounded the alarm over the security political and cultural repercussions of the summit on the Palestinian liberation struggle.

PEC announced the launch of a campaign dovetailing international efforts to urge Togo to backtrack on the projected summit and live up to the history of a continent that has long suffered from oppression racism and apartheid.

PEC added that the conference aims to whitewash the Israeli crimes and violations of international law by establishing “a fake partnership” with pro-Palestine African states.

PEC vowed that it will step up efforts across Africa and Europe so as to urge Togo to backtrack on such a notorious move calling on the Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestine Liberation Organization to opt for serious steps to that very end.
