Palestinians in Europe demand restructuring PLO stick to RoR

ROTTERDAM (PIC)– The fifth annual conference for Palestinians in Europe has affirmed in its closing statement the insistence on the Palestinian refugees’ right of return and demanded restructuring the PLO.

The conference which concluded in Rotterdam on Sunday renewed resolutions of the four past conferences on RoR and on reconstruction the PLO and demanded elections for Palestinians in the diaspora especially in Europe.

The conferees who numbered more than 5000 arriving from various European countries said in their closing statement that they followed up with concern statements by certain international parties that tried to bypass RoR. They warned of any attempt to tamper with this right or to bargain over it.

The participants re-affirmed insistence on Palestinian stable rights describing them as “inalienable” just and not for partitioning bargaining or deferment.

They hailed the Palestinian people in the occupied homeland who withstood siege and oppression and the refugees in their camps in various world areas over their steadfastness and patience.

The conferees condemned the Israeli occupation authority’s aggressive policies topped by assaulting the indigenous people of Palestine assaulting ancient Islamic shrines and Jerusalem’s landmarks other than the separation wall and confiscation of Palestinian lands despite international condemnations.

They asked the EU to break the “oppressive” siege imposed on the Palestinians over a year ago charging that it could not be ethically or humanly justified. They praised the countries that called for lifting the siege.

The participants expressed concern over the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Iraq denouncing the murders kidnappings and terrorizing of those refugees. They asked for an immediate end to such acts and asked all concerned parties to find a swift solution to those heinous acts.

They hailed the Arab and Islamic communities in Europe along with large sectors of the Europeans for expressing solidarity with the Palestinian just cause and for denouncing Israeli occupation’s foul practices.
