A number of Palestinian citizens were injured on Sunday evening when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked a welcoming ceremony for a Palestinian youth who has been freed from Israeli jails in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village south of Nablus.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed a Palestinian gathering celebrating the freed prisoner Baraa Oweis 21 amid heavy firing of stun grenades and tear gas canisters.
They added that dozens of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.
A number of storefronts and windows of neighboring houses were damaged by Israeli bombs.
