Palestinians injured as IOF quells agricultural activity in Beit Dajan

Friday 11-December-2020

Several Palestinian citizens suffered different injuries on Friday afternoon when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked an agricultural activity they organized to cultivate and afforest swaths of land in Beit Dajan village east of Nablus.

Chief of the village Abdul-Rahman Hanini said that two young men were injured by rubber bullets and over 15 others suffered from their exposure to tear gas when the IOF attacked their agricultural march.

Hanini added that the IOF prevented the participating villagers from reaching their lands in the eastern area of the village to plant them with trees.

Despite the Israeli suppression and roadblocks many villagers managed to reach some of their lands where they embarked on reclaiming and farming them.

Dozens of locals also performed the Friday prayer in the area which is threatened with annexation for Israeli settlement activities.

Recently Jewish settlers set up an agricultural outpost on Palestinian-owned lands in the east of the village where they deployed five mobile homes and a cattle shelter.

Large-scale Israeli bulldozing activities also happened in the northeastern area of Beit Dajan last November.
