At least one Palestinian protester was injured and dozens suffocated from teargas inhalation on Friday as Israeli army cracked down on the weekly protest against Israeli settlements in the village of Kafr Qaddum in the occupied West Bank.
Morad Shtewi coordinator of the popular resistance in the village said that Israeli soldiers attacked the marchers with rubber-coated steel rounds and teargas injuring at least one protester and causing many cases of suffocation.
The injured and those who suffocated from teargas were treated at the scene.
Shteiwi added that the occupation forces targeted Palestinian homes with teargas canisters and set up ambushes to chase down Palestinians.
