Palestinians injured during clashes with IOF in Jenin and al-Khalil

A number of Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday evening in Rummanah village west of Jenin.

According to local sources the clashes started in the village after the IOF raided some homes interrogated their residents and confiscated security camera recordings.

The IOF also intensified its presence around the villages of Rummanah Zububa and Ti’anik in Jenin.

In al-Khalil a Palestinian young man was injured in his thigh by live ammunition and many others suffered from the effects of tear gas during skirmishes with the IOF in Beit Ummar town.

Media activist Mohamed Awad said that the events broke out after Israeli soldiers intercepted a funeral procession for a citizen and tried to prevent the mourners from reaching the cemetery at the main entrance of the town to lay him to rest.

Awad pointed out that the IOF closed the road barrier at the town’s main entrance and deployed a number of soldiers on rooftops of some houses in Asida area during the events.

The IOF also attacked local youths with tear gas during similar clashes in al-Daher area of the town the activist added.
