Palestinian citizens were reportedly injured during armed clashes on Sunday morning between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Tubas City north of the West Bank.
The clashes started immediately after the IOF stormed the city to arrest an ex-detainee called Basheer Abdul-Razzaq.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped Tareq Abdul-Razzaq after they did not find his brother Basheer in the house.
Soon later resistance fighters opened fire intensively at Israeli soldiers and their vehicles from different directions before the exchange of fire heated up as IOF reinforcements started to rush to the area.
The Red Crescent said that its ambulance crews transferred two young men to a hospital after they suffered from bullet injuries during the events adding that more citizens were likely to get injured as the clashes persisted.
Footage published this morning on social media showed two handcuffed young men sitting on the ground near Israeli soldiers. Their identities are still unknown.
In a separate incident two young men were taken prisoners on Saturday following an IOF raids on homes in Beit Fajjar town south of Bethlehem.
