Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at predawn Sunday in a mass abduction sweep launched across the West Bank.
The Israeli army claimed in a statement responsibility for the abduction of 10 Palestinians at predawn on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
The campaign targeted three Palestinians from Nour Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem and seven others from Bethlehem.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC that dozens of Israeli soldiers raided the residential alleys of Nour Shams camp and wreaked havoc on civilian homes.
Three Palestinians—Nasser al-Khatib Ibrahim Fahmawi and Mohamed Abu Sreis in their 20s—were kidnapped in the assault.
As for the Bethlehem abductees they were identified by a PIC news correspondent as Mahmoud Abdullah Taqatqa 17 Alaa Marwan Taqatqa 18 and Mohamed Jaafar Taqatqa 21. The three youngsters were kidnapped by the IOF from their family homes in Beit Fajjar town to the south.
The occupation patrols further stormed al-Duheisha camp in southern Bethlehem and kidnapped the Palestinian youths Iyas al-Farahin 20 and Ismail Faraj from their family homes.
At the same time Palestinian young men Saleh Rizq and Samer al-Shentir were kidnapped by the IOF from Khader town and al-Saf Street.
Meanwhile overnight clashes broke out at al-Shuhadaa crossroads near the southern entrance to Jenin shortly after Israeli soldiers in four military jeeps rolled into the area.
Palestinian young men responded to the raid by hurling stones at the heavily-armed occupation patrols.
