Dozens of Palestinians are expected to join Friday prayers slated to be performed at noontime outside a Palestinian home in Occupied Jerusalem in defiance to an evacuation order issued by the Israeli police.
The defense committee in al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem said the Palestinians will pray in congregation on Friday outside the home of the Palestinian citizen Ayoub Shamasna in protest at Israeli threats to forcibly evacuate the building on Sunday in favor of settlement societies.
The committee launched calls for mass participation in the prayers expected to be led by Sheikh Ekrema Sabri. A press conference is to be held right after the prayers.
Shamasna family said the evacuation order is illegal and one that is based on fake documents handed over by Israeli settlers to an Israeli court.
