A group of Palestinian citizen on Saturday morning participated in a sit-in outside the Beersheba detention center (Ohalei Keidar jail) in solidarity with Sheikh Ra’ed Salah who has been in isolation for over six months.
The sit-in was staged by Palestine Jaffa Youth to protest a recent court decision extending the solitary confinement of Sheikh Salah for another six months.
The participants accused Israel of trying to liquidate Sheikh Salah for his role in defending the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem.
They also affirmed that there are two million Palestinians like Sheikh Salah in Israel (the 1948 occupied lands) and they are ready to defend and protect the Aqsa Mosque against Israeli schemes.
