Movement to Lift Sanctions on Gaza announced that protests will be renewed on Saturday in Ramallah to ask the Palestinian Authority (PA) to lift its punitive measures on the Gaza Strip.
The Movement in a statement on its Facebook page called for the largest participation in Saturday’s demonstration set to be held in the evening at al-Manara Circle in Ramallah city.
The Movement affirmed that protests will continue until the PA president Mahmoud Abbas lifts the sanctions he imposed on the Gaza Strip.
The statement denounced the PA security forces’ violent attack on Wednesday’s demonstration and added that such practices will not stop the Palestinians in the West Bank from protesting in solidarity with their fellow Palestinians in Gaza.
The Movement to Lift Sanctions on Gaza noted that what the PA security forces did is a further proof that that the PA is politically bankrupt and has no justification for punishing the Palestinians in Gaza.
