The Israeli occupation army stormed on Wednesday evening Salfit’s northwestern town of Qarawat Bani Hassan in the northern West Bank sparking panic among civilians.
Two Israeli military jeeps rolled into Qarawat Bani Hassan at sunset and raked through residential neighborhoods. Two Israeli army vehicles and a police car have also been deployed at the main entrance to the town.
Speaking with the Palestinian Information Center eyewitnesses said the assault triggered panic in the area.
The Palestinian locals reacted by throwing stones at the heavily-armed Israeli soldiers.
The locals expressed concern that the assault might signal the launch of an arbitrary abduction sweep against Palestinians living in the area.
