Photo gallery marks Palestinian Nakba Day in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR (PIC)– The Palestinian Students Association at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia’s capital city organized an exhibition to mark the 65th anniversary of Palestinian Nakba.

The Nakba week exhibition was attended by Vice-President of UKM Othman Abdul Karim and chairman of the International Jerusalem Foundation in Malaysia Dato Nassar Din in addition to thousands of people from Arab communities and supporters of the Palestinian cause.

Head of the Palestinian Students Association in Malaysia Mohamed Ghazal stated that the exhibition addressed the different phases in the history of the Palestinian people and the 1948 exodus which led to their diaspora.

The photo gallery highlighted the Palestinian prisoners’ issue and their suffering in Israeli jails. The exhibition also shed light on the Israeli Judaization practices in Jerusalem and al-Aqsa mosque Ghazal explained.

He pointed out that the exhibition proves the Palestinian people’s tenacity with regard to their identity and right of return and provides an opportunity to attract more supporters for the Palestinian legitimate rights.

Ghazal praised the University’s administration for encouraging the event’s organizers.
