Israeli plain-clothes soldiers on Monday evening kidnaped a Palestinian citizen and his son from their workplace in Barta’ah village near the separation fence in the southwest of Jenin.
According to eyewitnesses undercover soldiers kidnaped Khaled al-Saadi and his son Nimr while at work in the vegetable market in Barta’ah.
Members of such undercover units often disguise themselves as Arabs or Palestinians to carry out assassination or kidnaping operations.
They are known locally as Musta’ribeen in Arabic or Mista’arvim in Hebrew which is a word that means people or soldiers who pretend to be Arabs and are specialized in Arabic language and culture. In Israeli security terms the word denotes security or intelligence forces who disguise themselves as Arabs and carry out missions in the heart of Palestinian areas or other Arab countries.
