Popular campaign launched in J’lem to rebuild house of martyr

Wednesday 29-November-2017

A Palestinian popular campaign was launched on Tuesday in Occupied Jerusalem to rebuild the house of martyr Namer al-Jamal in Beit Surik town which was recently destroyed by the Israeli occupation authority.

The campaign has been organized by national figures local councils and civil society organizations in cooperation with the ministry of religious affairs under the slogan: “They demolish and we build; they uproot trees and we plant.”

Activists participating in the campaign started to collect donations from Palestinian citizens to rebuild the house of al-Jamal and other demolished homes.

The initiative aims to confront Israel’s demolition policy and to help Palestinian families whose homes were demolished or sustained damage to rebuild them.

Al-Jamal 37 carried out a shooting attack at the entrance of Israel’s illegal settlement of Har Adar near Jerusalem on September 26. Three Israeli soldiers or security guards were killed and another wounded in the attack.
