Monday 28-December-2009

GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails Jamal Abu Al-Heija strongly denounced Mahmoud Abbas’s militias for summoning his wife for interrogation and kidnapping his son Abdelsalam.

In a letter leaked from Israeli jails Abu Al-Heija said it is disgraceful and shameful that Abbas’s militias attack the homes and families of Palestinian prisoners while they are behind bars expressing his belief that the time of oppressors will not be long.

He held the governor of Jenin and militia officials fully responsible for any harm caused to his family and slammed the silence of Palestinian factions on what is happening to his family.

The Israeli occupation had previously detained all members of Abu Al-Heija family including his wife and all his sons.

Abu Al-Heija is one of Hamas’s prominent leaders in the West Bank and one of the Jenin refugee camp battle leaders who lost his left arm. He is also described by many as a man of national unity and widely respected by the Palestinian people in Jenin.

In a separate incident Abbas’s militias kidnapped four students of Al-Da’wa college three of them from Qalqiliya and one from the village of Qaffin north of Tulkarem.

Palestinian local sources said Sunday that militia men aboard a car stopped the four students in a street in Qalqiliya and forced them to ride with them.

Abbas’s militias also kidnapped two other students of the Arab American university in Jenin called Ahmed Daraghmeh and Osama Sawafta and kidnapped another one studying at the university of Al-Najah called Walid Zeidan after storming his home in Nablus.
