Hamza Abu Sawaween was sentenced to 5 additional years (the total duration of his sentence is18 years now) by the Israeli Beersheba court and fined up to 25000 shekels as a compensation for the Israeli jailer Haim Azoulay after trying to stab him according to Mohjat al-Quds foundation on Saturday.
The foundation said that the Israeli court accused Abu Sawaween of “attempting to stab the Israeli jailer.”
It pointed out that the Palestinian prisoner was exposed to several provocative acts by the Israeli jailer such as strip search beating and humiliation.
Hamza Abu Sawaween was arrested on 16th June 2013 and sentenced to 13 years for being a member of the Islamic Jihad and participating in resistance operations against the Israeli occupation.
