Family sources reported on Tuesday that the 70-year-old Palestinian prisoner Abdulrahman Salah suffers from serious health conditions and might lose his eyesight and memory.
According to his daughter Rasha prisoner Salah suffers from poor eyesight and further delay in getting treatment might lead to his blindness. She added that the Israeli prison administration claimed that there is no treatment available for his condition.
Rasha told Quds Press that the Israeli prison administration deliberately denies him treatment calling for exerting pressures for his immediate release.
“In our last visit which has been delayed for two years we noticed that his health has deteriorated as he suffers from severe dizziness weight loss and weak vision” Rasha said adding he couldn’t see or recognize his family members.
Prisoner Salah who was freed in the Wafaa al-Ahrar prisoners swap deal in 2011 but arrested again in 2014 has been held in Israeli jails since 2002. He is a father of seven. One of them Muhammad was martyred in 2003.
