Prof. Qasem: The J’lem operation will have a big impact on Israel

Sunday 8-January-2017

Palestinian professor Abdul-Sattar Qasem has expected that the Jerusalem vehicle-ramming operation that killed four soldiers and injured many others on Sunday afternoon would have a “resounding impact” on the Israeli occupation state.

In press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Qasem described the Jerusalem operation as a “natural result of Israel’s persistence in its settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank and Jerusalem.”

He expressed his belief that such “heroic” operations in Jerusalem would never stop.

“The Palestinian people’s slogan is still in force and it says that ‘as long as there is occupation the resistance will continue’” the professor underscored.

He also expected that the government of the occupation and its officials would accuse Palestinian leaders of sponsoring terrorism but he stressed that “the occupation itself practices terrorism against the Palestinians in order to make political gains.”

“This heroic operation has come as a message to the occupation and its lackeys from Arabs and Palestinians that the Palestinian people will never be submissive and powerless and that the resistance and self-defense are life norms” he said.
