The Palestinian National Council (PNC) session might be held in the Arab League headquarters in Cairo Taysir Khalid member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said.
Khalid told Quds Press on Wednesday that the PNC was held in Arab League headquarters back in 1974 to unite Arabs for the Palestinian cause.
“Work is in progress for the gathering of the committee assigned with preparing for the PNC session” Khalid added while inviting Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movement to attend.
“The preparatory committee which was assigned by the PLO executive committee consists of the PNC chairman members of the executive committee Secretaries-General of the Palestinian factions and a number of independent figures” he pointed out.
According to Khalid the main goal the preparatory committee seeks to achieve is guaranteeing the success of the PNC session by preparing the political factional administrative and financial files.
“Persuading Hamas and Islamic Jihad into participating in the session is vital since it will constitute the beginning of the end for the internal division” he underscored.
