The Islamic Bloc at Birzeit University organized on Saturday a protest in solidarity with the president of the student union Omar al-Kiswani who was abducted by undercover Israeli soldiers from the university campus on Wednesday.
The protest witnessed a wide participation by the university’s students who condemned the Israeli attacks against Palestinian students and expressed their solidarity with al-Kiswani.
The participants vowed to escalate their protests against all forms of violations committed by the Israeli occupation against student movements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
This protest came days after undercover Israeli soldiers broke into Birzeit University kidnapped al-Kiswani after beating him brutally and opened fire at the students causing a number of injuries.
