Dozens of Palestinian activists and representatives of parties and organizations participated in a sit-in in protest at a visit by a US delegation led by Jared Kushner President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law to the city where he was to meet with President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday.
The participants carried posters criticizing the US political policies calling them biased to Israeli occupation and violating Palestinians’ human rights. The sit-in was held at al-Manara Square in Ramallah city center and was organized by the Committee of Civil Popular and National Powers and Activities.
The secretary general of the Palestinian National Initiative Mustafa al-Barghouti told Anadolu news agency that “The American delegation is biased to Israel”.
“The US administration did not practice any pressure on Israeli authorities in order to stop settlement. It has been repeatedly requesting to cut off the monthly payments of Palestinian prisoners and martyrs and ignoring the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people” Barghouti highlighted.
