Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas has held the leadership of the Israeli occupation state fully responsible for what happened in Ashkelon warning that there will be unprecedented strikes against Israeli targets if its aggression does not stop.
In Twitter remarks spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades Abu Obeida said that the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza activated their joint operations room to exchange views about expanding the circle of rocket fire on Israeli targets.
Abu Obeida affirmed that if the Israeli side decided to persist in its aggression about one million Jewish settlers would be within the circle of rocket fire.
The Palestinian resistance had fired on Monday evening volleys of rockets at Israeli settlements and areas including Ashkelon which led to the death of one settler and the injury of others.
The rocket attacks were in response to Israel’s military escalation against Gaza on Sunday and Monday. Several Palestinians were either killed or wounded by wanton Israeli attacks on different areas of the besieged enclave.
The Israeli military escalation started after an Israeli undercover force infiltrated on Sunday night into Khan Younis assassinated a senior commander of al-Qassam Brigades and clashed with resistance fighters.
