Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas has said that the Israeli occupation state will regret its reluctance to reach a new prisoner swap deal with the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
This came in an interview conducted with spokesman for the Brigades Abu Obeida and published on Sunday by the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) and other Palestinian media outlets.
Spokesman Abu Obeida affirmed that the Brigades already took its decision to increase the number of captured Israeli soldiers in Gaza and its efforts in this regard are underway.
“We believe that the enemy will regret its intransigence regarding a prisoner swap deal and our options are open” Abu Obeida said.
In his reply to a question about al-Qassam Brigades’ military development and preparations the spokesman described the Brigades as “the seed of the liberation army” and “a difficult number in the equation of the Palestinian struggle against the occupation.”
“[The Brigades] stands on solid ground as a strong and protective shield for our people a sword directed at the occupation state and a spearhead in the procession of our people and nation towards liberation and return” the spokesman said.
“We are in the liberation stage and the battle with the occupation is long broad and complex and has multiple fronts mechanisms and means. We and our people from all spectra have engaged in resistance action for decades and our people have always imposed with their steadfastness equations of power rivalry and challenge in their struggle against the occupation” he added.
