GAZA (PIC)– The armed wing of Hamas Movement the Qassam Brigades (QB) has fired two locally-made Qassam missiles at the strategic coastal city of Ashkelon in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands at dawn Saturday.
According to a military communiqué the QB issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC fighters of the Brigades succeeded in unleashing the two rockets at the coastal city and in hurling another two at the IOF Abu Mutaibek military post east of Gaza Strip.
In the communiqué the QB clarified that the rocket attacks were in retaliation to the IOF air strikes on Palestinian people and elements of the executive force of the PA interior ministry that left behind more than 15 Palestinian martyrs and wounded scores others.
“We shall continue hitting the enemy in every inch of occupied Palestine” a phrase in the said communiqué read.
On Friday the QB launched more than 30 homemade missiles at Israeli settlements surrounding the tiny Gaza Strip including Sderot settlement that received the bulk of the rocket salvos.
According to Hebrew records at least ten Israeli settlers were wounded and a number of buildings were partially damaged as a result of the Palestinian retaliatory attacks.
Israeli settlers in Sderot were seen rushing to evacuation buses in search for a safer place in spite of pleads made by a number of Israeli officials on them to stay.
On the other hand Palestinian citizens who were and still are murdered with Israeli tanks shells and air-to-surface missiles vowed to remain steadfast in their homes despite the intensive IOF bombarding that inflicted many casualties in their ranks.
The Salahuddin Brigades the armed wing of the PRC also took the credit for hitting Sderot with three missiles and firing two other rockets at an IOF military post east of Gaza Strip.
On the other hand Abu Obaida the spokesman of the QB has confirmed that his armed wing hadn’t used even a half of its strength in confronting what he described as “Lahd army” in Gaza Strip in allusion to the mutiny trend within Fatah faction and the PA security apparatuses and affirmed that his armed wing would not allow its presence for long in Gaza.
He equated this trend with the Lebanese Lahd army that collaborated with the IOF troops against their own people during the Israeli occupation of south Lebanon in the last two decades of the past century.
In this context the QB spokesman underlined that Hamas’ unilateral ceasefire shouldn’t be interpreted as weakness on its part asserting that the QB is capable to strongly confront any aggression on the Palestinian people.
Reports circulated in the Palestinian arena revealed that elements of the said “Lahd Army” were deployed in northern Gaza Strip to prevent Palestinian resistance fighters from retaliating to the IOF aggressions or firing missiles at Israeli colonies.
