Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi head of the World Union of Muslim Scholars said that Jerusalem is not a Palestinian issue but an Islamic affair.
We have to clearly declare that Jerusalem is an Islamic affair. Defending Jerusalem is not a Palestinian or Arab issue but the battle of all Muslims all over the world he said on his twitter account.
Earlier on Friday three Palestinians were killed and scores of others injured amid mass protests over new Israeli security measures at al-Aqsa Mosque in different locations in Occupied Jerusalem.
