Senior Hamas official Hisham Qasem has said that the Arab and Islamic nations’ rallying around the issue of Occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque is important to foil Israel’s plans and make it reconsider its calculations regarding its ties with regional parties.
“The Zionist attacks on the Aqsa Mosque and its exposure to ongoing desecration by settlers aim eventually to impose new faits accomplis on the ground in terms of accelerating the attempts to Judaize it and creating the atmosphere to build the alleged temple on its ruins” Qasem head of Hamas’s media department stated in press remarks on Thursday to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC).
“This matter is seen by Hamas as a flagrant violation of the Mosque’s sanctity and inviolability which makes it work tirelessly to thwart such hostile Zionist attempts on various levels politically and through media and field efforts” the Hamas official said.
“The Movement is fully capable of dealing with any serious developments and it has prepared itself its apparatuses and its arms to confront this Zionist behavior and will use all available means to prevent the occupation from getting any chance to target and Judaize the Aqsa Mosque or allow Jewish settlers to defile its courtyards” he stressed.
