Qassam fighter killed in IOF shelling

Gaza – A member of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of the Hamas Movement was killed on Wednesday while a number of others were wounded in an IOF troops’ shelling of a group of resistance fighters who were confronting an IOF incursion into Jabalia refugee camp to the north of Gaza city.

The armed wing said in a communiqué that Musaad Ahmed Abu Mutak 25 was martyred while confronting the IOF invasion forces. An IOF drone fired a missile at the group killing him instantly it added.

IOF units also advanced into Beit Hanun at dawn Wednesday under air cover and amidst intensified firing witnesses reported adding that Israeli army bulldozers were damaging the citizens’ cultivated lands and property in the northern and eastern suburbs of the town.

The IOF troops also stormed the home of MP Jamila Al-Shanti who was previously targeted in an IOF air raid and detained all family members in one room.

The Qassam Brigades said its fighters fired four anti-armored projectiles at the house of Jamal Al-Kafarna where a number of those troops were entrenched. An IOF spokesman acknowledged that one of the soldiers was seriously wounded in the attack and airlifted to hospital.

In Rafah south of the Strip a Palestinian fisherman was wounded also at dawn Wednesday when IOF gunboats fired at Palestinian fishing boats off the Rafah coast. A number of those boats were damaged in the shooting.
