The Head of the Hamas Media department abroad Hisham Qassem said that the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh by the Israeli occupation forces and the injury of her colleague Ali Samoudi confirm the “bloody nature” of the occupation and its constant endeavor to obscure its crimes and to silence any voice that exposes its violations.
Qassem stressed in a press statement on Wednesday that the martyr of the press Shireen is not the first and she will not be the last in a series of crimes committed by this “heinous occupation” against workers in this profession who seek to reveal the truth “with no weapon in their hands except the camera pen and sound.”
The Hamas leader said “The occupation’s attempt to hide the truth by killing colleague Shireen in cold blood is doomed to inevitable failure because her colleagues are continuing on the same path loyal to their issue” and they know that the price could be their lives.
Qassem sent his condolences to the family of the martyr the family of Al-Jazeera and all journalists and prayed for the recovery of colleague Ali Samoudi.
