Qatar has strongly denounced the “provocative” break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque that happened recently by extremist Jewish groups under the protection of the Israeli police in Occupied Jerusalem.
“We believe that such a gross provocation to the feelings of 1.5 billion Muslims is a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli occupation forces” the Qatari ministry of foreign affairs said in a press release on Thursday.
The ministry warned of maintaining a silence on Israel’s persistence in flouting all legal and human considerations when dealing with the Palestinians and their holy sites.
“Qatar is adding its voice to the call that has been made by the Arab League for supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinians” the ministry said.
The Qatari foreign ministry also called on the international community especially the regional and international actors to shoulder their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and curb Israel’s violations against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine.
