The Qatari Committee for Gaza Reconstruction handed over the first payment to beneficiaries of homes renovation project which is allocated for poor families in the blockaded Gaza Strip and funded by Qatar in cooperation with Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
The project’s first list included 28 out of 127 families selected after field examination and observation of their homes. The rest of payments will be paid after the completion of the first stage of renovation.
The total cost of the project was estimated at $1 million with an average of $8000 for each family. The first stage has covered about 40% of the project.
