Ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi head of the Qatari committee for the reconstruction of Gaza inaugurated on Tuesday the department of audiology at the Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for rehabilitation and prosthetics in Gaza City.
During the opening ceremony Emadi reiterated his country’s keenness on providing every help possible for the population in Gaza through carrying out development and relief projects.
The ambassador added that the audiology department would work on rehabilitating the children with hearing problems who underwent cochlear implant operations.
He affirmed that the Sheikh Hamad Hospital is the first medical institution for rehabilitation and prosthetics in Palestine pointing out that Qatar provided about 16 million dollars to establish this great edifice.
