A Qatari medical delegation has started to perform special surgical operations in the Martyr Khalil Suleiman Hospital in Jenin city in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent and the Palestinian ministry of health.
Director of the hospital Naji Nazzal stated in press remarks on Monday that the delegation conducted on its first day three joint replacement surgeries and would continue to perform similar procedures over six days.
Nazzal added that the delegation would also give special medical lectures on intensive care during its stay pointing out that it had made a generous donation of $150000 for the purchase of medical equipment for the operating room of the hospital.
Members of the delegation are the doctors Ghassan Abu Shaaban Mohamed Hantu and Wasfi Hamad and their surgical operations will be performed for free.
