The Egyptian authorities on Sunday opened the Rafah border crossing with Gaza Strip for the second consecutive day in both directions exceptionally for the travel of humanitarian cases.
The interior ministry declared the departure of 656 passengers while only 20 persons were managed to enter into the strip.
Meanwhile Egyptian authorities prevented the travel of 27 passengers for unrevealed reasons.
The Palestinian Crossing and Borders Authority on Friday evening announced opening Rafah crossing in both directions for three days from Saturday to Monday.
Thousands of Palestinians including sick people students and holders of foreign nationalities have been waiting for a long time for the crossing to be opened in order to leave the Gaza Strip. The border opening period is usually not enough for the travel of all of the stranded people.
