Palestinian lawmaker Nayef al-Rajoub has called on the Muslim and Christian Palestinians to join forces to confront the Israeli dangers threatening their joint existence and future.
In press remarks on Sunday MP Rajoub stressed the need for unity among the Palestinians in light of the dangers that target their Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He warned of numerous Jewish plans aimed at taking over the Muslim and Christian properties in the holy city accusing the occupation state of practicing the theory of Ben-Gurion that describes Israel without Jerusalem and Jerusalem without the temple as “meaningless.”
The lawmaker affirmed that the occupation state targets everything in the holy city with the aim of seizing the entire city emptying it of its indigenous people and depriving Muslims and Christians of having access to their real estate and holy sites.
He pointed out that the occupation state does not even respect those who normalized relations with it and believes that nothing is sacred other than the Jews.
The Israeli occupation police imposed restrictions on the entry of Christian worshippers to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and deployed barriers on all the roads leading to it on Saturday.
