Dozens of Palestinian women rallied in Gaza streets on Wednesday in solidarity with the beleaguered Syrian city of Aleppo.
The rally staged by the women’s branch at Hamas came in response to the bloodbaths perpetrated by the armed militias and Russian army in Aleppo among other Syrian provinces.
Gathering outside the office of the UN High Commissioner the rally-goers denounced the crimes committed against children and civilians in Aleppo.
“This is a solidarity message to bleeding Aleppo from Gaza a place that has long been grappling with the atrocities of Israeli warfare” activist Raja al-Halaby said.
“Our hearts are with Aleppo where innocent civilians women and children have been subjected to mass genocides and where homes have been destroyed” she stated.
Al-Halaby slammed the silence maintained by the international and Arab communities as regards the massacres perpetrated in Aleppo.
“For God’s sake is there any law on earth that legitimizes the Russian onslaughts in Syria? Where is the international law? Where have human rights bodies the United Nations and the Arab League been?” the activist wondered.
“Aleppo is bleeding Aleppo is being burned yet the world has been paying no heed” she added.
Another woman said as she joined the rally: “War abettors and murderers of children and women in Aleppo are just beasts with human masks.”
“The carnages and atrocities committed against Aleppo people is a scar of shame on the nation’s and the world’s faces! Aleppo is bleeding! Aleppo is broken down” she cried out loud.
