GAZA (PIC)– Relatives of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails and victims of the Israeli war on Gaza have received UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at Beit Hanun crossing north of Gaza Strip on Thursday with protest signs.
Local sources told the PIC that the relatives threw shoes at the UN motorcade and hoisted signs saying “Ban Ki-moon enough bias to Israel”.
Civilians held posters asking about the UN role in face of the Israeli kidnapping of Palestinian MPs and the Israeli siege of Gaza and destruction of Palestinian homes. Other signs said that isolated prisoners demand a UN role in ending their solitary confinement.
Many Palestinian figures and forces have declared they would boycott meetings with Ban Ki-moon in protest at his refusal to meet representatives of those relatives.
