Report: Israeli soldiers abused four Palestinian detainees

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs said that Israeli soldiers physically and verbally assaulted four Palestinian citizens recently during the process of their detention and interrogation.

In a brief report on Thursday the commission explained that Israeli soldiers beat 17-year-old Hasan Salah from al-Khader town in Bethlehem with their rifle butts and military boots during his detention and later he was also exposed to physical and verbal abuse by interrogators in Kiryat Arba detention center.

Another 16-year-old teenager identified as Ayham Amarneh from al-Arroub refugee camp in al-Khalil was also exposed to physical and verbal assault after he was kidnapped by soldiers from his home.

As the soldiers were taking Amarneh to Etzion detention center they embarked on severely beating and kicking him while he was handcuffed and blindfolded according to the commission.

17-year-old Mohamed al-Qiq from the same refugee camp was also kidnapped from his home and physically and verbally assaulted during his detention and interrogation.

During recent skirmishes between Palestinian young men and soldiers near El checkpoint to the east of Bireh city plain-clothes officers physically assaulted 22-year-old Mohamed Hadeeb Ein as-Sultan refugee camp in Jericho. As a result he suffered multiple injuries and bruises the commission added.
