Fakhri Abu Diab a Palestinian expert in Jerusalem affairs on Thursday said that al-Aqsa Mosque and all of its facilities and walls are on the verge of collapse.
Abu Diab said that the Israeli authorities have prevented the restoration of al-Aqsa Mosque’s eastern wall after damage and change in the colors of its stones appeared lately.
Abu Diab said in press statements that Israeli excavations under al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings are meanwhile ongoing bringing al-Aqsa walls closer to collapse.
He noted that al-Aqsa walls are literally hanging in the air because of these excavations adding that Israel is planning to gradually destroy al-Aqsa Mosque and damage the Arab and Islamic image of the Old City of Jerusalem.
According to the Palestinian researcher Israel withholds information about what is actually happening under al-Aqsa Mosque from the UNESCO and concerned organizations.
Abu Diab pointed out that Israel is harnessing all of its capabilities for the purpose of demolishing al-Aqsa Mosque and building the alleged “Temple Mount” saying that this was the plan even before the establishment of the state of Israel.
He did not rule out that Israel may decide to do the restoration and change the stones of al-Aqsa walls with the aim of falsifying the Islamic site’s history and paving the way for the Judaization of the entire city of Jerusalem.
