A group of Palestinian resistance fighters targeted on Tuesday morning an Israeli military vehicle near the Jalamah checkpoint in Jenin north of the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources resistance fighters opened fire at an army engineer vehicle belonging to the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near the checkpoint causing severe damage to it.
Immediately following the shooting incident the IOF closed the Jalamah checkpoint intensified its presence in the area and launched a manhunt for the shooters.
At least 36 resistance incidents against Israeli targets happened during the last 48 hours including three shooting operations that targeted Israeli vehicles and injured three soldiers or settlers.
According to a recent report released by Palestine Data Center – Mo’ta 832 retaliatory acts of resistance occurred in the occupied Palestinian territories during last August in response to Israel’s daily crimes and violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
