The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) on Tuesday called on the Israeli occupation authority to immediately cease its crackdowns against Palestinian fishermen in the besieged Gaza Strip.
PCHR condemned the simmering Israeli assaults against Palestinian fishermen sailing across Gaza’s coast.
PCHR called on the IOA to make compensations over the psycho-physical damage wrought on Gaza’s fishermen.
The center urged the international community and signatories of the Fourth Geneva Convention adopted in 1949 to immediately step in and pressure Israel to cease its violations against Palestinian fishermen and allow them to freely exercise fishing the only source of income for hundreds of Palestinians living in the blockaded coastal enclave.
