Iranian president Hasan Rouhani has affirmed that there is a new conspiracy against Jerusalem and Palestine calling the US recognition of the holy city as Israel’s capital as “a violation of UN resolutions.”
“The new conspiracy against Palestine Jerusalem and the Muslim world has so far had opposite results for its hatchers and thus we are witnessing the new Palestinian intifada and movement against the Zionist regime and its supporters” Rouhani said addressing the 13th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) on Tuesday.
“It is imperative for the Muslim world to decisively reject the bad decision of the US president to declare the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem. This action by the president of the United States is a blatant violation of UN resolutions and was even harshly criticized by his strategic allies in the West” Rouhani said
“[The US decision on Jerusalem] made the Muslims more united over Jerusalem and Palestine” he added.
