Sabri calls for supporting Occupied Jerusalem against Adhan ban bill

Saturday 11-March-2017

Sheikh Ekrema Sabri head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem called for supporting Jerusalem institutions in face of the Israeli threats. Such threats target the Aqsa Mosque and other activities in the city he added.

He cited the Adhan ban bill banning Muslims’ call for prayer as one of the most serious threats to the holy city.

In a workshop organized by the Palestinian intellectual forum in Occupied Jerusalem in cooperation with Jerusalem press forum on Saturday Sheikh Sabri also stressed the importance of building an independent economy in Jerusalem.

Sabri renewed his demand to allocate a fund for Occupied Jerusalem in order to contribute in boosting the city’s economic conditions in light of the imposed Israeli siege and isolation.

He also championed supporting Jerusalem in face of the Israeli attempts to interfere in the educational process through changing the curricula and in Jerusalemites’ daily life activities.
