Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri on Friday said that teaching the Israeli curriculum in Occupied Jerusalem’s schools is forbidden according to the Islamic principles.
Sheikh Sabri said in his Friday sermon at al-Aqsa Mosque “The Israeli curriculum is incompatible with our religion values and history.”
He condemned the Israeli “retaliatory” home-demolition policy pursued in Jerusalem and other Palestinian areas.
Al-Aqsa preacher also denounced the demolition of al-Shuhadaa cemetery adjacent to al-Aqsa Mosque stressing that cemeteries must be protected by all religions.
He pointed to the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Mosque including the complaint filed recently against the Islamic Awqaf Department at the site stressing that al-Aqsa Mosque is too exalted to be subject to any Israeli political decision.
Sabri expressed his rejection of the Jerusalem magistrates court’s decision to close Bab al-Rahma building until further notice adding that the building is an integral part of the holy site.
