Salfit located in the center of the occupied West Bank is a rural city dressed in a beautiful robe of flowers of multiple shapes colors and types that made it a green paradise for vacationers. However this picturesque scene is spoiled by the surrounding Israeli settlements and the presence of settlers in its lands and around its springs.
Whoever visits Salfit gets astonished by the beauty of its mountains located between the provinces of Nablus and Ramallah a piece of paradise marred by the existence of Israeli settlers which the city resists by its captivating beauty stretching back for thousands of years proving that it is a purely Palestinian land.
Families and vacationers tour the areas of al-Matwi Ras Zeit al-Yanabeea’ al-Tuff al-Ruwais Wadi al-Saher and Ein Maghrafa enjoying the diverse beauty and the fragrance of the flowers which have blossomed promising a beautiful spring.

Fawzi Alawneh one of the vacationers told the PIC “The weather here is beautiful. Trees are leafy especially almond trees and flowers are many and varied.” He added “And there are no tickets to enter this beautiful area.”
Aziza Jamal said that not only flowers and songs of birds that draw her to Salfit but also the wild herbs scattered in the place such as thyme gundelia and sage.

Researcher Khaled Maali affirmed that Salfit is the most beautiful city in the West Bank pointing out that it was even more beautiful in the past than nowadays since it was affected by the modern life. He described it as “the province of olive trees” which in the past was also known for its fig grape apricot and peach trees.
Maali called for enhancing the domestic tourism in Salfit to tackle the threat of Israeli settlers. “Here you can find water green lands birds of all kinds” Maali said “Here you can enjoy the warm atmosphere of spring which revives the heart elevates the spirit and relieves stress.”
